xmas i love you the best

I have used to always hate it when people wrote Xmas instead of Christmas. I thought it was horrible and that some atheist must have come up with it! Taking the "Christ" out of Christmas...what's left? Some commercialized, santa-filled, day off from work?

Then I found out what "X" really stood for.

Xmas is an abbreviation of Greek origin. The actual word for Christ in Greek is Xristos. Early Christians used this abbreviation but they clearly knew what it stood for and it was in no means demeaning or non-believing.

So Merry Xmas everyone!

Hey Thanks cool Rach. I didn't know "X" was a Greek abbreviation. Thanks for the history lesson.
