The not-as-good-things (AKA Con's)
- Morning sickness - What idiot decided to call it this? I mean really. Who are they kidding. No one is sick in the morning. Most women are sick in the evening, I was the lucky one that was sick all day long. My mornings (between 8am-1pm) were actually the best. Not that they were by any means great or even good, but I could somewhat function. The worst was when I talked to other pregnant women who say, "oh I wasn't sick at at". Where is the JUSTICE?!?! If you don't get sick during pregnancy, you are not allowed to comment on this post. Just kidding. The good thing is that I am ever so slowly starting to feel better. (emphasis on slowly).
- 'Other' sicknesses and ailments - I swear no one told me these things. I have had pretty much everything in the book if the sentence starts with... "some women experience this..." Yeah, that was me. (correction..IS me)
- Not being able to take medicine - I swear EVERY bottle and box containing a remedy says, "if you are pregnant or breast feeding, please contact your health professional". Now I know why they do that, but those poor nurses at my doctors office must know my name by heart.
The wonderful-this-is-why-I-wanted-to-be-pregnant-things (AKA Pro's)
- Having a good Doctor - I love my Dr. He is so logical (this is why I go to a man)! He makes me worry so much less. I always go to my appointments with a list of worries, concerns, and ailments and he checks them off one by one and makes me feel at ease.
- Insurance - BYU is paying for 90% of my baby. I love good insurance.
- A work countdown - I only have at most.... like 6 1/2 months left of work. How nice.
- Being a mom - I'm pretty darn excited to be a mom. And Brady is going to be an amazing dad.
- Zofran. enough said.
So as I enter this next phase, I hope it is just like the Doctor said at my appointment yesterday, "consider it this way, you're on an airplane and the pilot just turned off the fasten seatbelt sign. The beginning is bumpy and the end is bumpy but right now you're just enjoying the ride."
Please let it be so.

Good ol' Dr. Judd...He is so good at calming concerns. We will be back in town next Tuesday...so we need to party. I was wondering if you were feeling any better and I'm glad that you are finally starting to see the light. Congrats on being out of the 1st trimester. Hurray! Jackson is getting so huge! He's gained another two pounds this trip. Haha. Anyways, see ya soon! xoxo
I am glad you posted about your pregnancy. I promise it will get better and in the end ALL of this will be worth it.:) I am sad I didn't see you more this weekend when you were up. Hopefully we can get Park City going soon! I miss you!
Rachel, I know just what you mean. Really, I felt like every weird or painful or uncomfortable thing happened to me. And my doctor would just calm me down and say, well, that's normal for some women. AHHHH! I decided that I don't want a "normal" pregancy next time. I want a comfortable one that produces a healthy baby :)
