The Sweetest Prayer

I have been pretty bad about blogging lately. I've decided I need and more importantly - want to do better. We are going to start printing our blog every year, so I need to keep it up to date with things that would be good to have documented and things I don't want to forget. One of those things is a prayer that Natalie said the other night.

We ask Natalie to say her night time prayers occasionally. Usually she kinda repeats after us but only chooses certain words that she wants to repeat. Last week though, it was different. Brady asked her if she wanted to pray and she said yes. Then he started the prayer and she repeated everything he said. It was adorable hearing the sweet little 2 year old voice repeating after her daddy. Brady capitalized in this and started saying bigger words like, "thank you for the priesthood" and "thank you for temple covenants". She tried so hard to say all of these phrases and when she couldn't quite pronounce what he was saying she just said, "thank you for Jesus." It was the purest, sweetest prayer I've ever heard.

We try hard to teach her what is right and to show her the importance of prayer. I think slowly, ever so slowly, it is starting to sink in. It's no wonder these precious spirits are celestial bound. If you would have heard that prayer, you would think so too.

We love you Natalie!
