Memorial Day - a new experience

In the past year and a half both of my grandfathers have passed away. This is a new experience for me because I have yet to have anyone close to me pass away. They were both great men and both dearly loved by their families. This Memorial Day we were able to visit both of my grandfathers graves. My Grandpa Empey is buried in Warden, WA in a little cemetery out in the country. So fitting of my Grandpa who was a kinda, simple, sweet farmer. He said he wanted to be buried out on the farms where it was nice and quiet.

My Grandpa Wheeler was buried just a few months ago in Richland, WA. This cemetery was quite the site to behold during Memorial Day. There were thousands of full-size flags flying - honoring those resting there and especially those who were veterans. My grandfather happens to be both. Below is a picture of my mother and grandmother. It is so wonderful to have a testimony of the Plan of Salvation. I will see my grandfathers again, they will be my grandfathers, and I will be with them forever. It may seem a little disrespectful to have Natalie standing on Grandpa's headstone, but I'm sure Grandpa was loving it.

Rach, These pictures are so great. I especially love your last post too with the Natalie and that cider bottle, so cute!
