On 19 July we lost our poor wonderful sequoia in a head on collision. We are so grateful that my sister Madie who was driving was not hurt in the accident. She had just dropped all of us adults (during the family reunion) off at the temple and then was going to spend a couple hours at the mall when she was hit head on. She ended up walking away from the accident with only a bloody nose and lip! We thank the Lord daily that He protected her, especially when everyone on the scene told her that she shouldn't have walked away from the accident because it was pretty nasty. The man that hit her was in his 70's and apparently blacked out when he hit her. He spent a week in the hospital but from what we've heard is home now and doing better.
Now we're on the hunt for a car...again. Didn't we just do this? :)
